Saab has received an order worth around 140 million euros from the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) for the RBS 70 NG mobile short-range air defence system, including guided missiles. Delivery is scheduled for the period 2027 to 2028.
The order also includes equipment that will enable the Swedish armed forces to integrate the system into a mobile air defense solution (MSHORAD).
Saab’s MSHORAD system with the RBS 70 NG has an automatic target tracker and an integrated night vision system. It makes it possible to defend against threats at distances of up to nine kilometers.
“We are making a continuous contribution to strengthening the capabilities of the Swedish Armed Forces. Saab’s air defense systems play a crucial role in securing Swedish airspace,” says Görgen Johansson, Head of Saab’s Dynamics business area.
