Saab is presenting an immersive, intuitive user platform concept for the management of critical systems in all operational situations at DSEI. According to a recent press release, the Future Operator Workspace is “an innovative design with customized software that sets new standards in human-machine interaction and battlefield management”.
The operator console provides a clear and unambiguous representation of the tactical and operational environment and optimizes the operator’s ability to make complex cognitive decisions in the shortest possible time. As a focused environment, it reduces operator mental stress and fatigue and enables a faster response, saving valuable seconds in critical situations.
“Our Future Operator Workspace is a complete evolution of the combat console for naval officers, combining human-centered design and ergonomics with an advanced user-machine interface,” says Johan Hägg, 9LV Product Manager for Saab’s Surveillance business area. “The innovations and technologies used in the platform enable a tactical advantage even in the most extreme conditions,” says Hägg. The Future Operator Workspace is currently on display at DSEI in London as part of the Saab stand H7-210. Visitors can experience the Future Operator Workspace for themselves.
