The decision to sell Transponder Tech was not an economic one, but a strategic one, as Carl-Johan Bergholm, Head of Surveillance at Saab, explained: “As we strategically focus on expansion in the military sector, we believe that Transponder Tech will find even greater opportunities for growth and success within Teledyne Technologies. This decision is in line with our strategic objectives and should provide Transponder Tech with the best possible conditions for further development.”

Transponder Tech is a provider of SOLAS-certified communication and navigation solutions for commercial maritime, military and aeronautical applications. The company’s product portfolio includes automatic identification systems (AIS), VHF data exchange systems (VDES) and global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) in the maritime sector.
