Saab has received its first order from the Spanish army for combat simulation and dueling systems. The contract covers both delivery and services and includes state-of-the-art training solutions for infantry units as well as an integrated training guidance system, which will be used in various units in the future.
The order is the first call-off order from a framework agreement with a potential total volume of around 34 million euros. It provides for the delivery of Saab systems from the Gamer family, including personal detection devices (PDDs), weapon upgrade kits and manpack systems. There is also the option of integrating additional training capacities.
Together with its Spanish technology partner Tecnobit, Saab will now establish its combat training systems in Spain. This will enable realistic combat exercises to be carried out in several regiments throughout the country.

Saab’s live training systems are internationally recognized as particularly realistic and interoperable. They allow soldiers and leaders to train in simulated combat conditions that come very close to real operations. This improves situational awareness, decision-making and operational leadership skills.
With the systems now ordered, the Spanish army will be able to conduct a wide range of exercises in the future – from small infantry combat drills to potential large-scale multinational maneuvers. The use of advanced Saab technology will significantly increase training effectiveness and sustainably enhance operational readiness.
