Saab has received from the US Marine Corps (-> current news about the US Armed Forces) has received a contract modification for the delivery of additional Marine Corps Training Instrumentation Systems (MCTIS). The contract is worth 34 million euros with deliveries planned between 2025 and 2027.
With this contract, the US Marine Corps continues to rely on Saab’s modular and mobile MCTIS systems. This interoperable live training solution enables Marines to train under realistic conditions, significantly improving their performance and survivability on the battlefield.
The system is used to develop and consolidate effective tactics, techniques and procedures and also supports joint training with NATO-allies as part of multinational exercises.

The collaboration between Saab and the US Marine Corps began with a contract in June 2021which marked the transition from the previous Instrumentation and Tactical Engagement Simulation System II (ITESS-II) to the MCTIS training system.
