An international NATO customer has Rheinmetall with the production of mortar shells. According to a company statement, the total value of the order is “in the mid double-digit million euro range” and was booked as incoming orders at the beginning of the third quarter of 2024.
The order comprises a six-digit number of mortar shells of various types, all of which are manufactured by Rheinmetall Expal Munitions S.A.U. in Spain. The order also includes various additional services as part of the product launch. Delivery of the ammunition is scheduled to begin in summer 2025 and be completed in summer 2026.
