The IDEX 2019 trade fair will take place in Abu Dhabi from February 17 to 21. Under the motto “Force Protection is our Mission”, Rheinmetall will be presenting a selection of its product portfolio there.

Rheinmetall is presenting the new Hybrid Protection Module for the first time. This is a hybrid module for vehicles that can be used both as a stand-alone and as an add-on and combines active and passive protection technology. Rheinmetall will also be presenting two variants of its tried-and-tested Multi Ammunition Softkill System (MASS): MASS_OCR with Offboard Corner Reflector and the stand-alone variant MASS_ISS with Integrated Sensor Suite for units that do not have their own reconnaissance system against laser or radar threats, for example.

Rheinmetall will be showcasing its expertise in the field of air defense systems at IDEX 2019 with its innovative Skynex system. In Abu Dhabi, the remote-controlled and network-capable Oerlikon Revolver Gun Mk3 – loaded onto an HX77 truck -, the X-TAR3D search radar, a Cheetah guided missile and a high-energy laser effector will be integrated into Skynex.

@RheinmetallAt IDEX 2019, Rheinmetall will also be presenting its “Total Ship Training” approach for integrated simulation-based training of complete ship crews on land. The aim of this concept is to increase operational readiness and reduce training costs while taking into account modern requirements for intensive use of the ship and the multi-crew concept. Advanced command and control systems such as the TacNet tactical management system and the Rheinmetall Command and Control Software (RC2S) will also be presented at IDEX 2019.
