The Ukrainian army has purchased a total of 2,650 RGW90 hand-held anti-tank weapons from the German manufacturer Dynamit Nobel Defence (DND). Recently, the Belgian army also opted for the system.

According to the newspaper “Welt”, DND is said to have submitted an export application for the weapons purchased by Ukraine on March 18. The responsible Ministry of Economic Affairs also confirmed this application promptly, and the anti-tank weapons are said to already be on their way to Ukraine. The RGW90 HEAT/HESH is an anti-tank and multi-purpose version of the RGW90 series. With high penetration performance against armored vehicles and multi-purpose capability against structural and unarmored targets, it is a real “multi-tool” in shoulder-launched armament and is used by numerous European and international armed forces. The weapon weighs around eight kilograms and can penetrate more than 600 millimetres of armored steel at a combat range of 500 meters. The hit probability is more than 90 percent.
