Renk Group AG – manufacturer of mission-critical propulsion solutions in military and civilian end markets – and IDV, an Iveco Group N.V. company specializing in defense and civil protection vehicles, have signed a cooperation agreement. The aim of this agreement is to evaluate the potential of Renk’s and IDV’s propulsion technologies for future combat platforms.

According to the companies, this cooperation agreement is “an important step that will enable both parties to actively contribute to the acceleration of their customers’ tracked vehicle programs”. The agreement also aims to strengthen the European supply chain and increase production capacity. The agreement is primarily aimed at sharing the know-how and experience of both parties in the development and production of drive solutions as well as technologies and systems.

At the beginning of August, IDV was able to announce another agreement. A contract was signed with the Brazilian armed forces contract with the Brazilian armed forces for the delivery of 420 LMV-BR 2 (Light Multirole Vehicle) within a time frame of ten years.
