RAM-System GmbH (RAMSYS), a joint venture between Diehl Defence and MBDA Germany, has signed a procurement contract with the Dutch procurement authority “The Materiel and IT Command” (COMMIT) for the acquisition of Rolling Airframe Missile Lauschig Systems (RAM GMLS), according to a recent announcement by Diehl Defence.

According to the company, COMMIT is procuring 7 plus 2 launchers for the Royal Netherlands Navy and the Belgian Navy. In the meantime, the 3rd generation of the weapon system and the 6th generation of missiles are in use. Diehl Defence believes that the continuous further development of the weapon system is “the cornerstone for its exceptional performance and outstanding hit probability”.
