Quantum Systems has completed a financing round of 160 million euros. The round was led by Balderton Capital. Also involved were Hensoldt, Airbus Defense and SpaceBullhound Capital, LP&E AG and existing investors such as HV Capital, Project A, Peter Thiel, DTCP, Omnes Capital, Notion and Porsche SE.

The new financing brings the total capital raised to 310 million euros. According to the company, it intends to use the available funds to “accelerate global expansion, scale production and further develop its autonomous drone systems, software and AI”.

This new financing round follows several years in which Quantum Systems recorded annual sales growth of over 100 percent. Today, the company employs around 550 people at locations in Germany, Australia, Ukraine and Romania.

Quantum Systems was founded in 2015 and is primarily known for its modular, dual-use-capable unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Among other things, the company recently landed two major orders from the Spanish armed forces. were won.
