Next milestone for Quantum Systems with the German Armed ForcesAs Co-CEO Sven Kruck announces on Linkedin, the first operators have completed their two-week training on the new Bundeswehr Falke reconnaissance system at the Munster military training area.

The framework contract for the procurement of the Vector drone system (the Bundeswehr refers to the system as Falke – the abbreviation stands for “remote-controlled reconnaissance system, airborne, short range”) was already completed in the fall of 2023. The delivery of 14 systems was agreed.

Sven Kruck on Linkedin: “Quantum Systems increases the operational capability of the troops – next year Falke will be fully integrated into the Army Reconnaissance Force. With this in the Ukraine (-> Latest news from the Ukraine war), the turnaround is also progressing for the Bundeswehr.”

At the end of last year The company was also certified as a training facility for the system by the German Armed Forces Aviation Office (LufABw). According to the report from that time, the training is structured in two stages and includes the training of new drone pilots with no previous experience in the first stage and the training and further training of experienced drone pilots as instructors as part of a train-the-trainer program in the second stage. The latter is an innovation in the LufABw training process in order to be able to scale up the number of available drone pilots in the armed forces more quickly. The Austrian Armed Forces is also pursuing this approach training of its drone operators.
