Quantum Systems and the Indian Renk Group subsidiary Renk Gears Private have signed a letter of intent for a strategic partnership in India. The two companies intend to cooperate more closely in the areas of research & development, production, software development and digitalization.

“The cooperation is another strong signal for our location and underlines the Renk Group’s ambition to ‘Make in India’,” said Praveen Mohan, Managing Director of Renk Gears Private.

According to Quantum Systems, India offers “a highly attractive, strategic environment for sustainable growth”. The country’s defense and security spending is steadily increasing, flanked by massive investments in high-tech and infrastructure projects. “As a geopolitically significant player with major civil and military challenges, India is an exciting market for ISR drone technology and aerial intelligence services,” Quantum Systems continues.

Perfect cooperation: With the signing of the contract, Quantum Systems and Renk India intend to cooperate more closely in the future.

The Renk Group has maintained business relations with Germany’s strategic partner India for decades. The company is currently significantly expanding its local production capacities for transmissions, plain bearings and couplings for military and civilian applications. A new 7,000 square meter production facility for military and civilian applications will be built in India by 2025.

Quantum Systems also has a long-standing business history in the region and is an established partner in India for land surveying and cadastral records, among other things. In future, the company will also be active in India for other government authorities.
