The stand of the long-established French company A10 Equipment aroused a great deal of interest at the IWA 2024. A10-Equipment. We took a closer look at the new clothing line.

A10-Equipment produces clothing for the military, authorities and security services. However, the French company has also received very positive feedback from sport shooters, bushcrafters and outdoor enthusiasts. The family business, founded back in 1970, supplies the French army, among others. The company is based on the German-French border, near Strasbourg. Efforts are currently being made to expand sales outside the French-speaking regions.

Even after the latest rebranding, the company remains in family hands. CEO Olivier Dagorn wants the products to reflect a minimalist and focused approach, as he revealed to us at the product presentation at the IWA 2024 in Nuremberg. The focus is also on robust material: ripstop material as far as the eye can see. Further treatments of the fabric with Teflon and to optimize IR camouflage are commonplace in the military “Fighter” line.

Despite the minimalist approach, there are also numerous ingenious details. For example, we were particularly impressed by the parka from the “Fighter” line, which is a solid “survival jacket”. Covered ventilation is sewn along the shoulders, while the kidney area has a “poacher pocket” that can be accessed from both sides, which is usually only found on smocks. The hood can also be rolled up and stowed away quickly. The softshell jacket from the “Instructor” clothing line is simple and stylish. A DWR-coated exterior protects against wind and weather. Fleece on the inside provides appropriate warmth. The combat shirts, polo shirts and pants are dedicated to the same “low profile” concept.

Markus Reisner: „Wir schreiben gerade Geschichte“

With the clothing line from A10-Equipment pursues a basically user-oriented concept in a minimalist but appealing style. What we have seen so far has been presented with solid workmanship and some fine details. Hopefully we will soon be able to report on further developments from the company.
