The Polish Armed Forces commissioned Frequentis to upgrade the communication system for the Polish Air Defense Center. The company will upgrade the existing air defense voice communication system and add secured and unsecured IP voice communication (Red/Black). This will allow a range of improved functionalities for command, control and air search and rescue missions.
Frequentis and the Polish Armed Forces have been working together since 2004, when Frequentis first provided its market-leading Voice Communication System (VCS) to support mission-critical requirements. The close collaboration and reliable cooperation formed the basis for the contract extension. The Polish Armed Forces expressed their full satisfaction with the existing Frequentis VCS solutions, which fully meet the requirements for safety, security, scalability and reliability. “We look forward to continuing our cooperation with the Polish Armed Forces and to providing them with fail-safe communications to support their operations,” said Peter Skiczuk, Frequentis Vice President Defense. “Our defense solutions support maximum effectiveness in safety-critical operations by providing operators with an easy-to-use, comprehensive and secure tool set. This includes everything needed for efficient mission management by securely combining Red/Black voice communication in a binaural headset and HMI (Human Machine Interface).” The Frequentis technology is designed with no single point of failure and with built-in redundancy to ensure continuity of service. The open standards-compliant IP solution is characterized by proven interoperability, guaranteed long-term support, high data security and uncomplicated scalability, making it a safe investment. The project will be implemented in six phases until December 2022 and includes system modifications including a red-black extension (separation of unencrypted and classified information).
