After the Polish head of government Donald Tusk only a few weeks ago a few weeks ago in a speech to the European Parliament in StrasbourgParliament in Strasbourg just a few weeks ago, Tusk called on Europeans to invest more money in its defense.
If we, Europeans, fail to spend big on defense now, we will be forced to spend 10 times more if we don’t prevent a wider war. As the Polish PM I’m entitled to say it loud and clear, since Poland already spends almost 5% of its GDP on defense. And we will continue to do so.

“If we Europeans don’t spend a lot on defense now, we will be forced to spend tenfold if we can’t prevent a major war,” Tusk said in a post on X (formerly Twitter). “As Polish Prime Minister, I have the right to say this loud and clear, because Poland already spends almost 5 percent of its GDP on defense. And we will continue to do so.”
