On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the military parachutists in the Austrian Armed Forces, 120 parachutists jumped in the skies above Wiener Neustadt a few days ago. The Jagdkommando has been training parachutists for the Austrian Armed Forces since 1961.

The American “Multi Mission” systems are available for freefall jumps. These parachutes are suitable for freefall missions, gliding missions and tandem jumps. Freefall or gliding missions are carried out from altitudes of up to 10,000 meters above sea level with oxygen. This means that up to 35 kilometers can be covered in gliding flight. Passengers, service dogs and additional equipment can be transported on these missions. To date, 420,000 parachute jumps have been carried out – the instructor with the most jumps has completed 11,500 jumps.
