The Pandur Evolution armored personnel carrier from General Dynamics European Land Systems-Steyr is the latest and most powerful wheeled armored vehicle in the Austrian Armed Forces. The first motor vehicle training is currently underway for 24 participants at Jäger Battalion 17 in the Erzherzog Johann barracks in Straß.
The instructors draw particular attention to the changes in the new tank compared to its predecessor. As there has been a generational leap in technology and equipment between the vehicles, it is a challenge to convey all the modifications to the attentive and interested driving school participants in as short a time as possible. The Pandur Evolution thus begins its service in its new home. With its special capabilities, it will certainly be able to continue the success story of its predecessor.
