A new refueling system was put into operation at the Schwarzenberg barracks in Salzburg.

“This new tank system is both electronically and technically state-of-the-art, and particular emphasis was placed on environmental protection during planning and construction,” explained Günther Leitenecker, Head of the Military Service Center Salzburg.

The fuel pumps are state of the art.

“Thanks to a power unit for emergency power operation, operational readiness can be guaranteed at all times. This means that army vehicles can be refueled 365 days a year, 7 days a week, around the clock,” says the military commander of Salzburg, Brigadier Anton Waldner, describing the capabilities of the refuelling facility. This means that the Schwarzenberg barracks, the largest army barracks in Austria, now has a total of two filling stations and a large fuel depot for army vehicles.
