A few days ago, Theon delivered the first 2,000 Argus FS Mk2 night vision goggles to the Estonian armed forces. As part of the contract, 8,000 night vision goggles worth 35 million euros are to be delivered initially, with an option for several thousand more systems worth around 20 million euros. According to the Estonian Defence Investment Centre (ECDI), which is leading the procurement process, the delivery of the system will significantly increase the night-time combat capability of the defence forces, but also of the Defence League – a voluntary military national defence organization. Theon has also previously sold thermal imaging systems to Latvia and Lithuania. https://militaeraktuell.at/allentsteig-unbemannte-abc-gefahrenerkennung/ “The evaluation of the bids was very thorough and informative. During the evaluation, the bids were assessed as complete sets, meaning that the entire set with night vision device, helmet mount and additional equipment had to meet the conditions specified in the tender. I am pleased that the product fully meets the end user’s requirements, the speed of delivery exceeded our expectations and the expected night combat capability will be achieved on time,” said Ramil Lipp, Armament Category Manager at the National Center for Defense Investment, referring to the delivery that took place just one week after the contract was signed.
