SwissP Defence AG has introduced a new product, the SwissP Hybrid Case Technology, or HCT for short. The hybrid cases combine increased ballistic performance and improved logistics with reduced weight for soldiers.

“The Swiss P HCT hybrid case was specially developed to increase the hit probability and penetration power compared to conventional ammunition in comparable calibers,” explains the Head of Development at SwissP Defence AG.

The Hybrid Case Technology (HCT) from SwissP means “lighter & more powerful”. A two-part case with a stable steel base and a case body made of various materials such as aluminum, brass or plastic enables up to 50 percent higher bullet velocity and improved hit probability. The choice of case material also has a significant influence on its weight. The technology is particularly relevant for military special forces, as it reduces logistical challenges and increases operational agility. https://militaeraktuell.at/rheinmetall-das-bundesheer-setzt-auf-skyranger-tuerme/ “Our goal is to improve the effectiveness and operational readiness of armed forces and police users worldwide by developing state-of-the-art ammunition technologies,” says the General Manager.

The advantages of HCT ammunition from SwissP include increased kinetic energy for better armor penetration, a flatter trajectory for more accurate shots over longer distances and reduced wind effect for improved accuracy in challenging terrain.

The HCT is produced in calibers from 9×19 millimeters to .375 SwissP and covers a wide range of semi-automatic to fully automatic weapon systems and sniper rifles. As a complete system provider, SwissP Defence works closely with renowned weapons manufacturers to shape the future of military ammunition. SwissP Defence is a Swiss company based in Thun. The company specializes in high-quality small-calibre ammunition for armed forces and law enforcement agencies based on state-of-the-art technology and is part of Beretta Holding.
