The Dutch Ministry of Defense will be working with Lobster Robotics in the future to further develop the “Scout” underwater drone. A cooperation agreement was signed as part of the NATO-summit in The Hague by Dutch State Secretary Gijs Tuinman and Stephan Rutten, Managing Director of Lobster Robotics. The Dutch Navy is using this drone as part of the Rapid Adoption Action Plan (RAAP) project – a NATO initiative for the rapid introduction of new technologies for military purposes.

Tuinman emphasized: “Dual-use technologies such as the Scout make us faster, smarter and more effective. Within the NATO framework, we are thus jointly strengthening our technological superiority and operational effectiveness.”
