The Dutch Ministry of Defense (MoD) has placed another order for Dutch Expeditionary Patrol Vehicles (DXPV) with Oshkosh Defense Europe. The order is worth between 23 and 28 million euros. The vehicles, also known as Kaaiman in the Dutch armed forces, are already being delivered prepared for the future integration of additional mission systems.

With this step, the Netherlands is “once again underlining its pioneering role in the modernization of military vehicle fleets and interoperability within allied armed forces”, according to a recent press release from the company. Thanks to the open systems approach pursued by Oshkosh, the DXPV platform is designed to flexibly accommodate new technologies and mission systems. This enables the Dutch armed forcesto efficiently implement modernization projects without limiting operational flexibility across a wide range of missions.

As part of the contract, Oshkosh will also supply two DXPV training kits that will enable the Dutch armed forces to begin training immediately. These training systems are intended to ensure a seamless transition to operations and support the continuous operational capability of the troops.
