The Netherlands buys from Lockheed Martin Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile Extended Range (JASSM-ER). The deal is part of a government-to-government sale and has already been approved by the US government. This makes the Netherlands the fifth international customer of JASSM.
“We are honored to work with the U.S. government to provide the Dutch Armed Forces with a combat-proven and mission-effective weapon system that meets their evolving strategic defense needs,” said Scott Redmerski, JASSM program director at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. https://militaeraktuell.at/fpv-drohne-angriff-mi-28-helikopter/ The latest generation of JASSM-ER includes hardware and software improvements that provide additional capabilities and more flexible options to meet the evolving mission requirements of the armed forces. JASSM can already look back on more than 20 years of successful partnership with the US Air Force where the system continues to provide significant long-range and precision engagement capabilities for air-to-ground missions. The combat-proven and operationally effective weapon system is designed to destroy high-value, well-defended targets from long range, ensuring that aircrews are not compromised by enemy air defense systems.
