The Finnish armed forces purchase further armored Patria 6×6 vehicles: This is made possible by an additional purchase option from the agreement signed in June 2023, when Patria signed a contract for 91 vehicles with the Finnish Armed Forces Logistics Command. The agreement also included a purchase option for up to 70 vehicles, of which the Finnish Armed Forces are now redeeming 40 vehicles. Delivery of the vehicles is already underway.
Jussi Järvinen, Executive Vice President of Patria’s Finnish division, said: “The purchase is part of the multinational CAVS (Common Armored Vehicle System) program, which includes Finland, Latvia, Sweden and Germany. In the course of 2023 deliveries to Sweden also beganand deliveries to Latvia have been underway since 2021. Thanks to the close and excellent cooperation between the countries and Patria, the program has progressed quickly. The steering of the Patria 6×6 is similar to that of an automatic vehicle, making it easy to learn how to operate.
