Four helicopters landed with a loud roar at the Allentsteig military training area last week. Minister Kunasek climbed out to see what was happening on site.
Last Tuesday, Federal Minister Mario Kunasek paid a visit to the ordered weapons exercise of the Jägerbataillon Steiermark militia unit (practiced together with around 200 soldiers from Jägerbataillon 18) in Allentsteig. Around 750 soldiers from the two units were on site and trained in the “protection” type of operation, while the Minister of Defense, surrounded by various media representatives, spent around three hours at the military training area. The militia is very important to him, said Kunasek. “I would like to thank everyone for their willingness to be there for our country in the militia!”
