Milrem Robotics and Digital Bit, a Romanian manufacturer and supplier of defense systems, have joined forces to meet Romania’s growing need for advanced robotic combat solutions. As a first step, the companies have combined Milrem Robotics’ THeMIS unmanned ground vehicle with Digital Bit’s AGIL remote-controlled weapon station. This was on display at the Defense, Aerospace and Security Fair in Bucharest from 22 to 24 May.

Representatives from both companies expressed their delight at the collaboration. Patrick Shepherd, Chief Sales Officer at Milrem Robotics, said: “We are delighted to announce this partnership with Digital Bit. Together we are combining our strengths to deliver cutting-edge robotic solutions that meet the complex requirements of modern defense operations.” And Bogdan Bărbulescu, Managing Director of Digital Bit, said: “The AGIL Remote Controlled Weapon Station is efficient and user-friendly. THeMIS Combat UGVs provide direct fire support for maneuvering troops and act as a force multiplier. With an integrated, self-stabilizing, remote-controlled weapon system, they offer high precision even at long distances, increasing the distance, protection and survivability of troops. Combat UGVs can be equipped with light or heavy machine guns and anti-tank missile systems.
