Starting today, four military bands with around 200 musicians will be giving ten concerts in Burgenland, Styria and Lower Austria. Every free donation will go to “Licht ins Dunkel” on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. The concerts take place in the run-up to the Military Music Festival, which will take place on May 21 at the Seebühne Mörbisch. In addition to fabulous brass music, visitors can also look forward to an exhibition of the Austrian Armed Forces in the run-up to the concerts.

“I am delighted that our military bands can finally make music together again after two years. In addition to the military music festival, the open-air concerts are also a valuable contribution to Austria’s cultural landscape. I am proud of our soldiers who are supporting a good cause together with ‘Licht ins Dunkel’ in this way,” said Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner.
