Personnel change at Steyr Arms: The previous managing director Tim Castagne (-> interview with Militär Aktuell on the occasion of the takeover of Steyr Arms by the Czech RSBC Group) will in future devote himself increasingly to “the strategic expansion of the product portfolio and new acquisition opportunities”, according to a recent press release. He will be succeeded by Milan Slapak as the new Managing Director.

Slapak will focus on the “operational management of the company and accelerating innovation”, according to Steyr Arms. The aim of the change in leadership is to “drive rapid expansion in the US and European markets”.

The Czech RSBC Group had only taken over Steyr Arms in a year ago in April. It is not only since then that the company has been confronted with the problem of a lack of export licenses for potential orders. Last December, the company therefore threatened, according to a report in the Kronen Zeitung the company also threatened to leave Austria.
