Anduril and Meta are working together to design, build and deliver a suite of integrated XR products that will enhance soldier awareness and enable intuitive control of autonomous platforms on the battlefield.

The capabilities enabled by this partnership are based on more than a decade of joint investment by both companies in state-of-the-art hardware, software and artificial intelligence. The project is funded entirely by private capital – with no government support – and is designed to help the US military billions of euros.

This partnership comes at a crucial time: U.S. national security has benefited from the country’s technological leadership at every stage of the computing revolution – from the first microprocessors and personal computers to today’s Internet and mobile devices. Now, as a new era of computing dawns – based on AI and wearable devices – Meta and Anduril want to help preserve America’s technological leadership.

“Meta has invested in AI and AR over the past decade to enable the computing platform of the future,” said Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta. “We are proud to partner with Anduril to bring these technologies to the U.S. armed forces defending our interests at home and abroad.”

“I am thrilled to be working with Meta again,” said Palmer Luckey, founder of Anduril. “Of all the areas where dual-use technologies can make a difference for America, this one excites me the most. My goal has always been to turn soldiers into ‘technomancers’ – and the products we’re developing with Meta do just that.”
