Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks is to produce more than 1,500 Zetros logistics trucks for a major order from the Canadian Ministry of Defense. The Canadian Armed Forces plans to use the vehicles for the transportation of goods and troops in the field. In addition to Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks, Marshall Canada, Soframe, Manac and General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada (GDLS-Canada) are also part of the contracted manufacturer group.

General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada (GDLS-Canada) is the prime contractor in the procurement project of the Canadian Ministry of Defense.

In total, Canada will receive just over 1,000 light Zetros (two-axle vehicles with all-wheel drive, 4×4) and around 500 heavy Zetros (four-axle vehicles with all-wheel drive, 8×8).
