The Mach Loop in Wales is a paradise for plane spotters. Also known as Machynlleth Loop or CAD West, the area to the east of Barmouth is part of Low Flying Area 7 (LFA7) and is regularly used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) and the US Air Force (USAF) aircraft stationed in Lakenheath for low-flying training.
