Lockheed Martin has announced that the first delivery of the Patriot Advanced Capability – 3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) interceptor missiles has been successfully delivered to Bahrain. Bahrain intends to use the PAC-3 MSE to enhance its air and missile defense capabilities. There will be further deliveries of PAC-3 MSE to the country in the coming months.

Brenda Davidson, vice president for the PAC-3 program, said, “PAC-3 MSE is a combat-proven hit-to-kill missile capable of defeating tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, advanced threats and aircraft. PAC-3 MSE will help Bahrain deter evolving regional threats and defend its national integrity.” https://militaeraktuell.at/bundesheer-beteiligt-sich-an-eu-mission-aspides/ PAC-3 utilizes hit-to-kill technology to defeat threats through direct contact, which transfers exponentially more kinetic energy to the target than would be possible with explosive fragmentation mechanisms. According to Lockheed Martin, 15 nations – including the USA, Germany and Switzerland – have already opted for PAC-3.
