The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Italian defense contractor Leonardo have signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the aerospace and defense sectors. The agreement was signed with the Ministry of Investment (MISA) and the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) and announced at the World Defense Show in Riyadh.

The MoU mentions several areas of cooperation, including the aerospace industry, aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, localization of electronic warfare systems and radars, and helicopter assembly. The MoU also offers the opportunity to focus on specific areas of cooperation in the fields of combat aircraft and cross-domain integration.
