Ambassador Christoph Heusgen: “I am extremely grateful to the MSC team for all that we have achieved over the past three years. This includes the organization of outstanding main conferences, the opening of the MSC to the ‘Global South’, gender parity on our stages and the increased participation of future decision-makers in all our activities. I am particularly grateful to the MSC team for initiatives such as the ‘Women Parliamentarians Program’ and for organizing the ‘Zeitenwende on tour’, which has already brought foreign and security policy debates to dozens of cities across Germany.” Wolfgang Ischinger remains Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Munich Security Conference Foundation. Helga Maria Schmid, former Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), will remain his deputy.
