Following a Memorandum of Understanding signed in September 2023, Janes Defence and Systematic have now signed a further agreement to support the integration of Janes’ data into Systematic’s intelligence and decision support tool SitaWare Insight.

As a result, SitaWare Insight is now able to receive data from Janes’ Intara Foundational Data via an application programming interface (API), giving users access to key equipment data and information within the SitaWare Insight interface. Janes’ Intara Foundational Data is searchable when loaded into the SitaWare Insight data lake. As a result, SitaWare Insight users can now benefit from a fully integrated intelligence workflow on a single screen. The development of the API also serves as a starting point for further integration of additional Janes data in the future to further improve understanding and assessment of the battlefield. https://militaeraktuell.at/grossauftrag-des-spanischen-heeres-fuer-rheinmetall/ “With data recognized as a key factor in modern combat, the ability of intelligence teams and military planners to quickly obtain critical data on the capabilities of their own and enemy forces can help reduce risk and lead to greater success on the battlefield,” explained Henrik Sommer, Director, Defence Operations at Systematic. He continued: “The addition of a new source of information to the SitaWare Insight Data Lake demonstrates the platform’s ability to process data from a variety of sources and transform it into actionable intelligence that supports the soldier from the tactical level to the highest echelons.”

At Janes, the CCO, Leendert Van Bochoven, expressed his confidence in the collaboration: “The excellent progress we have made with the integration of Janes’ fundamental open source data into SitaWare Insight in our first release is an important milestone for Janes. We are convinced that this development will be of great benefit to our joint customers as it provides deeper insights on the battlefield.” Systematic’s SitaWare suite enables the seamless integration of a wide range of C4ISR data and information to provide commanders on the battlefield with a comprehensive common operational picture – from commanders in a headquarters or joint operations center to troops on vehicles and units on the ground.

“With data recognized as a key factor in modern combat, the ability of reconnaissance teams and military planners to quickly obtain critical data on the capabilities of friendly and enemy forces can help reduce risk and lead to greater success on the battlefield.
