Today, Thursday, the commander of the 3rd Jäger Brigade, Colonel Karl Krasser, handed over command of Jäger Battalion 33 to Colonel Rupert Hütter. In the presence of the highest representatives from politics, business and the military, Colonel Hütter took over the insignia of Jäger Battalion 33 in Zwölfaxing.

In his inaugural speech, Colonel Hütter expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and emphasized how much he was already looking forward to his role as commander. He also thanked his family, especially his wife, for their great support on his career path. The commander of the 3rd Jäger Brigade, Colonel Krasser, stated in his speech that Colonel Hütter had already made a name for himself as a military role model in his past as an officer in the “Third”. He therefore enjoyed the full confidence of the brigade commander to achieve his goal: An efficient and capable Jäger Battalion 33.

“He took responsibility at a time when Jäger Battalion 33 needed leadership,” said the brigade commander in his speech. Colonel Krasser also stated that the battalion had taken a good path thanks to his consistent leadership and his actions, which were characterized by soldierly thinking. The applause from the audience confirmed the thanks and appreciation expressed for his performance.
