This week, the reconnaissance soldiers from the combat support company of Jäger Battalion 33 completed a live firing exercise with the 77 assault rifle. Precision, teamwork and a quick reaction were required of the soldiers – because every second and every movement counts.

Sharpshooting with the assault rifle is an important part of the training. It is practiced in both static and dynamic scenarios in order to prepare the soldiers as well as possible for various operational situations.

The 77 assault rifle is the standard armament of soldiers in the Armed Forces. Although the weapon has been in service for decades, it is still one of the best and most reliable of its kind and has proven itself both in Austria and worldwide.
