LOS has been producing bullets in Slovenia for ammunition manufacturers and reloaders since 2010. At the IWA 2025 we were the first media representatives to learn that LOS will now also be producing ammunition itself. Here are the first details.

Shooting sport reloaders have long valued LOS bullets. What is less well known to the public is that LOS also supplies bullets for major ammunition manufacturers. The next big step was announced at IWA 2025: LOS is starting its own ammunition production.

Strong range

LOS is now producing ammunition for the 9×19 caliber with the 124 grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ), 123 grain Copper Plated Bullet (CPB) and 115 grain Round Nose (RN) bullets. Indoor shooters in particular will be delighted: the cartridges are fitted with non-toxic primers.

During the interview, we learn that a great deal of time was invested in selecting a powder that delivers stable and consistent results – regardless of temperature and humidity. LOS wants to offer high-quality ammunition.

Ammunition made by women

During the conversation, it becomes clear that the machinery is the company’s pride and joy, as the bullets – and now also the ammunition – are produced in machines manufactured in-house. According to LOS, daily ballistic tests before the start of production ensure high and consistent quality. Three million cartridges are manufactured in the production halls, just 20 minutes from the capital Ljubljana, every month, 100,000 per batch.

LOS emphasizes that the company is run by women who are working ambitiously and with attention to detail towards one major goal: To deliver the best ammunition on the market in the future.

The target audience for the ammunition is broadly based with sport, hunting and military. When asked about the LOS bullets in .223 Rem. caliber, which are very popular with reloaders, we learn that production is currently underway in accordance with NATO-standards, with the aim of being able to supply the corresponding ammunition and bullets by the end of 2026.

Cooperation with M-Arms

But that’s not all. We are currently working on a prototype of our own pistol. Two pistol models are being developed together with M-Arms, a Slovenian high-class pistol manufacturer that is particularly well known in IPSC sports: A standard frame pistol, which can also be used in defensive shooting, and a model for demanding sport shooting. The aim is to promote the production of pistols at home. We will stay tuned and report as soon as there is any news.
