On the Enforce Tac 2025 from February 24 to 26, more than 30 Austrian companies and brands will be presenting themselves to an international trade audience – including Black Trident. In recent years, the company has made a name for itself as a supplier of high-quality Kydex and nylon products and as a reliable supplier of official merchandise, as Managing Director Wolfgang Rohrbacher explains in an interview with Militär Aktuell.
At Enforce Tac, the company plans to showcase a number of special features – including metal components produced in-house for the first time. Another first: Black Trident is bringing the rifles of US premium manufacturer Noveske to Europe for the first time. With this partnership, the company is once again focusing on quality, as Noveske rifles are known for their low manufacturing tolerances.
Mr. Rohrbacher, Black Trident has not been on the market for very long and yet has gained the trust of Tier 1 units. How is that possible?
We started small with Kydex products that combine the highest functionality and compatibility with various attachments. Today, we are one of the fastest growing companies in the field of tactical equipment and, with the Black Trident Academy, we also offer international units group training based on a holistic approach. Our secret of success: Focus.
Focus on what exactly?
We recognized very early on that it is not enough to “just” build good products. Our focus is therefore on product and process innovation, which means that we not only focus on new products, but also on reducing delivery times and optimizing availability. Today, 40 percent of our turnover comes from the government business. Our manufacturing technology makes it possible to scale production quickly and thus respond rapidly to increasing demand – whether from private customers or public authorities.
“Our vision is clear: to create products that our customers can rely on anytime, anywhere.”
Black Trident-CEO Wolfgang Rohrbacher
What does Black Trident pay particular attention to as a company?
There are several key aspects that set us apart from the competition. Outstanding products take time. Prototypes are tested by experienced users worldwide for at least six months. This feedback flows directly into further development, enabling us to offer solutions that go beyond our customers’ expectations and include detailed solutions that they had not yet considered themselves. A particularly important point is our adaptability. We react quickly and flexibly to requirements – be it product changes or increasing demand. As we develop and manufacture all Black Trident products in-house, we can act faster than many other companies. Another hallmark of our work is our uncompromising quality.

Does production take place entirely in Austria?
All of our products are manufactured 100% in Austria, whereby we rely exclusively on licensed fabrics and raw materials from leading manufacturers in the USA, Great Britain and Germany. Delivery capability is very important to us. We ensure that all required materials are in stock in large quantities to guarantee short delivery times and smooth availability. This focus on reliability, coupled with our attention to detail and high quality standards, is reflected in every single product.
What will the future bring?
We are aware of the responsibility that our products are used by people whose lives depend on their equipment. This must function reliably even in the most remote places in the world. Our mission: to ensure the highest quality standards while offering the shortest delivery times on the global market – without compromising on functionality or durability. Over the past year, we have made major investments in modern machinery and systems to fulfill our mission. Our aim is not just to become even better at what we already do. We want to expand our portfolio in a targeted manner, but remain true to our principle: we prefer to release fewer products, but develop them with the utmost care and perfection – and most importantly: be able to deliver them in a short space of time.
