With its 6×6 vehicle, the Finnish armaments company Patria Latvia, Finland and Sweden opted for the armored vehicle early on. In the spring, Germany also joined the multinational CAVS program (Common Armored Vehicle System) and recently we were also able to take a look at the vehicle.
The obvious thing here is the practicality of the interior. The six-wheeled infantry fighting vehicle has been designed without too many frills, the design is clearly focused on the end purpose. And that is: transporting troops and providing direct (with a 25 or 30 millimeter cannon) or indirect (with a mortar) fire support as required. The 6×6, which comes with a Scania L5 turbodiesel (325 kW), is 7.6 meters long and 2.9 meters wide, with a maximum total weight of 24 tons (including a load capacity of 8.5 tons).
A few days ago in Sweden, the first vehicles the first vehicles were handed over to the Livgardet regiment in Kungsängen near Stockholm as Pansarterrängbil 300 and Finland ordered a further 91 vehicles at the beginning of the summer.
