As iMAR Navigation announced at the beginning of June via LinkedIn the company was selected by DND Digital as a supplier of high-precision, gyro-stabilized platforms for the TaWAN LBO (Tactical Wide Area Network for Land Based Operations) project of the German Armed Forces. German Armed Forces selected. The initial order includes the delivery of more than 450 platforms of the iIPSC-PT series with options for the procurement of a significant number of additional units.
The iIPSC-PT platforms enable precise stabilization of communication antennas within the TaWAN system, which is considered a key component of the Bundeswehr’s networked operational command and control infrastructure. Thanks to precise inertial measurement technology, drive systems and mechanics, these platforms ensure reliable and continuous position and orientation references even under demanding operating conditions.
“We are proud that our technologies can make a significant contribution to improving the Bundeswehr’s communication capabilities in the field,” Edgar v. Hinüber, Managing Director of iMAR Navigation GmbH, is quoted as saying in the press release. “The selection by DND Digital and Rheinmetall Electronics confirms the performance and reliability of our solutions for the most demanding military applications.”
Delivery of the first units is planned for the first quarter of 2026. All production and quality assurance will take place at the company headquarters in St. Ingbert, Germany.
