The Finnish Procurement Agency is modernizing and expanding the Leguan bridge-laying fleet. Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) signed a contract with the national general contractor for the project, Patria Land Systems Oy. With this measure, Finland becomes the sixth user to introduce the Leguan short bridge-laying capability.
In addition, set-up deliveries and support services for the construction of four further new Leguan systems with Leopard 2 chassis were ordered. The order will be processed between 2019 and 2020.
With a total of 17 user states, the Iguana Bridging System not only offers unique interoperability, but also creates ideal conditions for cooperation to maintain and further develop the system.
