The sensor specialist Hensoldt announces its collaboration with HTX (Home Team Science and Technology Agency) in Singapore to advance the development of rapidly deployable drone defense systems (CUAS) for the urban environment. By combining Hensoldt Singapore’s specialized software expertise with HTX’s system integration capabilities and operational insights, the aim is to develop an integrated solution that meets the unique requirements of an urban environment.

The rapidly deployable CUAS system includes Hensoldt’s Z:Assess software. The system is based on a modular and scalable concept that includes a surveillance radar, EO/IR cameras and a jammer and allows for the seamless integration of additional sensors to enhance its capabilities. This CUAS suite is designed to detect and map threats in real time and provide users with a comprehensive overview of identified threats. The system will be showcased for the first time at the HTX Pavilion at the Milipol Asia-Pacific-TechX Summit 2024.

“This is just the beginning of the strategic partnership between HTX Singapore and Hensoldt Singapore. We look forward to expanding this relationship in the near future,” says Ines Maiwald, Head of Business Development Asia at Hensoldt

“The collaboration aims to address the challenges of urban environments and provide an effective solution for CUAS in Singapore,” says Ben Soon, Senior Principal Engineer at HTX, who played a key role in the development of the system. The system is designed not only for permanent use, but also for temporary protection during large-scale events, demonstrating its versatility and adaptability.
