Heckler & Koch has received the official order from the German Bundeswehr for the first delivery of the new standard assault rifle. The rifle is based on the tried-and-tested HK416 A8 model and will be known to the troops as the G95A1 & KA1.

The lot now ordered marks the start of the delivery of a new generation of infantry weapons for the Bundeswehr. The procurement process began in 2017 with a Europe-wide award procedure and was legally was legally concluded in 2023. The order that has now been placed marks the operational start of series delivery.
With the G95A1 & KA1, Heckler & Koch supplies a modular assault rifle with state-of-the-art technology – optimized for the requirements of German soldiers in combat and in training.
