At the beginning of January, the Turkish company Havelsan announced that the Advent Marti command and control system, developed with national technical capabilities, had been successfully integrated into the first Casa CN-235MP-100M aircraft (TCSG-553) operated by the Turkish Coast Guard.
The Turkish Coast Guard fleet currently comprises six CN-235MPA aircraft and three CN-235MSA aircraft.
The TCSG-553 is intended for the following missions:
- Reconnaissance and surveillance,
- Border security,
- Search and rescue operations (SAR),
- Combating illegal activities such as drug smuggling and human trafficking,
- Anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and surface warfare,
- Electronic warfare and
- Tactical Data Link Relay.
The integration of Advent Mari aims to improve operational efficiency through enhanced command and control functions. “Advanced decision support systems such as Advent Marti are essential for the success of such missions and scenarios,” says Havelsan.
