The Slovenian company Guardiaris will be presenting the new generation of its Small Arms Mobile Trainer (SAMT) at the I/ITSEC trade fair in Orlando next week. The new simulators have been developed for firing and replacement training with both small arms and anti-tank weapons as well as military vehicles and remote-controlled weapon stations. In addition to training at individual level, the system can also be used for training at troop level.
The plug-and-play training system can be easily expanded thanks to stackable LED screens. In addition, several SAMT simulators can be linked together, allowing a larger number of soldiers to be trained in a common scenario. According to the manufacturer, the SAMT system uses laser-less technology – this is made possible by the SAS module.
This module can be installed in any modofied real weapon or weapon replica and collects information about the mission in real time. This enables comprehensive analysis after training. The information provided includes weapon handling performance in six degrees of freedom, exact ballistics for all weapon types, trigger and firing accuracy, position and posture of the soldier, physiological and cognitive reactions, biometric data and visual feedback.
