On February 22, the officers of the Graz garrison invited guests to the “63rd Grand Social Evening of the Officers of the Graz Garrison” in the Belgierkaserne. More than 1,000 guests took the opportunity to attend a highlight of the Graz ball season.
The military highlight at midnight was the performance of a guard show team. The host and commander of the armed forces, Lieutenant General Franz Reißner, once again welcomed high-ranking guests this year. These included President of the Provincial Parliament Gerald Deutschmann, Member of the National Council Ernst Gödl, Member of the Provincial Parliament Marco Triller and numerous visitors from business, politics and public life. Military guests included the commander of the Bosnian armed forces, Major General Radovan Ilic. A special welcome was extended to General in Ruhe Günter Höfler.
