Saab has been acquired by Airbus Defense and Space two major orders for the delivery of the electronic warfare sensor system Arexis for the German Eurofighter aircraft. The total volume amounts to around 549 million euros, with deliveries scheduled to take place between 2025 and 2028.
The first order continues the contract concluded in March 2024 for the integration of the Arexis EW suite into the Eurofighter EK (electronic warfare). This part has a volume of 291 million euros and was immediately included in Saab’s books.
The second order also includes AI technologies from Saab and its strategic partner Helsing. It is worth 258 million euros, but is still subject to regulatory approval.
Saab CEO Micael Johansson emphasizes: “We are proud to support the German Air Force Air Force with Arexis, further strengthening the Swedish-German cooperation. Arexis is one of the most advanced fully digital sensor and jamming systems in the world and significantly increases the Eurofighter’s situational awareness and survivability on the battlefield.”
