The soldiers of the 7th Jäger Brigade are currently training in live firing at the Allentsteig military training area. The aim of the training is to maintain the skills of the professional soldiers of Reconnaissance and Artillery Battalion 7. Regular handling of the technology in the combat vehicles is essential for deployment.
The professional soldiers from Feldbach are highly trained. Over the course of their career, every reconnaissance soldier also completes training as a gunner on the Husar multi-purpose vehicle. The focus this time is on maintaining skills. In firefighting, stationary and moving targets are engaged at a distance of up to 1,600 meters on the “Thaures” firing range using the on-board weapon.
In the later combat phase, the threat level is deliberately increased by a fictitious opponent to one’s own forces. The time and psychological pressure on the soldiers increases. In this phase, precise combat communication between the crew becomes necessary – and in a real mission at the latest, essential for survival.
